Client’s Situation:A manufacturing company and global supplier of materials and technologies to the electronics industry with significant revenue growth over several years and approximately $500 million in revenue was implementing a new ERP system and required additional accounting resources and an interim controller during the implementation project and after.
Accounting and Business Consultant’s Engagement Role:We were asked by the Company’s management team to provide an interim controller and two other accounting managers with previous Big Four audit experience to assist with monthly closing and reporting efforts, audit preparation and other projects during and after the implementation.
Engagement Results:The company successfully implemented SAP while meeting regular reporting and compliance deadlines during a period of rapid growth and while integrating operations during a merger. After the ERP system implementation, Management utilized our interim management resources to assist with other projects and to restructure the accounting department. Our team successfully assisted with hiring a new permanent accounting management team, including a Controller, and transitioned responsibilities while meeting audit deadlines and increased accounting and reporting demands.
